I am a professional drummer, well known within the international community, and I'm an experienced musician who has worked with bands and groups all over the country, at Miami, California, Boston, and one of South Florida’s top locally- based drummer. After a life time of learning, I took my unique style from Copacabana, Brazil to the clubs and concert halls of the world. My drum instructor has taught me how to read music, keep time with a metronome and how to enjoy learning the drums. He is very skilled at breaking everything down into smaller components making the daunting task of playing the drums more comprehensible. He is light-hearted, has a great personality and is encouraging, even when you think that the assignment is impossible.

I have great respect and admiration for my teacher. He's one of the best there is.

As a drum instructor, I use a groove orientated approach to get the students deep in the pocket, I teach students how to sight read the Drum set Legend. I organize beats into 4 (four) main categories (classic rock, modern rock, hip-hop, and rap, as well as additional styles) while also breaking down each category into, a multitude of sub-styles. I stress the importance of developing a good hand technique, with snare drum rudiments, good hand and foot technique with drum set rudiments, and poly-rhythmic technique with poly-rhythmic rudiments. I believe drum lessons should not just be so tedious, so I usually assign a simple song or two to keep the students interest and allow creative process through improvisation, all the while providing different ride cymbal patterns to gain the ability to play along with any rhythm on the bass drum and snare.

Andy is a great musician, teacher and person. He doesn't just understand music, he lives it. He is very patient and supportive with people and his talent definitely needs to be passed on to as many people who are lucky enough to get the chance!

I had looked at several people before settling on Andy for vocal lessons and I'm very happy I did. Even after a few lessons, I've noticed large strides in progress. He's very diligent and not complacent at all. He has stacks of books about voices and vocal faults- he's constantly trying to become better so you can be sure he'll do the same for you.

I've been very happy with my lessons so far and am giddy to see continued progress under Andy.

I have been working with Andy for almost 9 months and there's a reason for such longevity. He has proven to be a great mentor, encouraging me to try different songs and techniques which help me to go beyond what i think i'm able to do. He also shows great concern in teaching musical theory, which he explains with such passion and understanding of the craft that it's impossible not to be inspired by it.
Overall, Andy is a magnificent teacher. Reliable, inspiring, passionate and dedicated to what each individual student wants to learn.

You will learn all the different aspects of drumming: Independence, techniques, rhythms, sight-reading and more.To enrich their rhythmic techniques, teachers supplement their sessions with exercises from my library of 100-plus instructional books and DVDs. Once they master the necessary techniques , students can even enter the Drummer Paradise studio to lay down some beats. For all the parents out there who have trouble getting their young ones to get some exercise, try sitting them on a drum kit. Not only will they get the exercise they need, they will also have fun!

Corey is an excellent instructor. He is professional, very patient and truly inspiring. I particularly enjoy that he always finds a way to relate whatever is going on that week with drums. It’s a nice way to explain things in a way that makes sense to you but also keeps drums very relevant in daily life. I highly recommend him.
