My lessons are always easy going and student oriented. I always allow the student to determine the pace of the lesson and progress, whether that is a variety of pieces to study or one at a time. For young beginner students, I use the Faber Piano "Adventure" Series and for adult beginners I use Alfred's "Basic Adult Piano Course." If the student has a different book they are more comfortable using, I am flexible with any edition.

I will start the student with a general overview of all the different styles and as they progress we will focus in on their preferred style. A strong emphasis will be placed on how to play with other musicians and I will accompany the student on either piano or guitar.

For recording and music technology students, beginners will start with a broad overview of what studies encompasses these fields. From their we will focus in on the students topic of choice and begin with practical application to get students working with the tools and technology available to them. Afterwards, we will move into more advanced studies including sound theory, physics, digital formats, etc.

About Me

Hey! My name is Jordan and I am a former touring guitarist who has been playing guitar for over a decade. Touring and opening for big worship artists like Jonathan Lee, Brenton Brown, and Paul Boloche, I know what it takes to really elevate your level of playing all the way from never playing before to being able to play on the road night in and night out. From rock, to country, worship, and blues, I've got you covered. Being now planted in the awesome city of Pittsburgh as the Youth Pastor at Element Church, being on the road isn't an option for me anymore. Teaching is a passion of mine and since my recent move to Pittsburgh, I am completely opening up my book for all new students. From electric, acoustic, and bass, we can take your playing as far as you want. I also have a vast experience with Logic, Pro Tools, and Final Cut in order to really teach you everything you need to know in order to do your own recordings and videos.
