Hallie C. Tampa, FL

If you would like to learn an instrument, one of the best to learn about music is the Violin. Also one of the easiest to learn on a basic level, but the most difficult to master. Having learned the violin from infancy with my mother being a professional violinist, I have had extensive training in teaching and playing the violin, and will help you to fulfill your potential.

About Hallie

Have you always wanted to learn how to play an instrument, but never knew where to begin? I can help you learn your instrument, and learn how to play the music that you love whether it be flute, piccolo, violin, viola, or cello. I can help you enjoy music.

Having grown up in a musical family with my mother a professional violinist, I have been exposed to the joys of music since childhood. I learned how to play percussion and string instruments from when I was six years old, and later joined the high school band playing flute. I loved playing flute and piccolo so much that I decided to take this as my career and went to Interlochen Arts Academy where I excelled in my performance. I later went to Prague Conservatory and Czech Budweiss Conservatory and played with the Prague Film ...

Erika G. Saint Petersburg, FL

Experienced violin teacher of 14 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of music skills. I specialize in classical viola, violin, and piano and typically use either the Suzuki Method or traditional method (Faber, Alfred, Essential Elements), and also have the following tools available to use during lessons: Weighted electric keyboard (piano), my own viola/violin, music stands, metronomes, music manipulative, etc. Please note that string students must have their own instrument and all students are required to bring a notebook and procure their own sheet music.

About Erika

Erika is a multi-instrumentalist on a mission - to share the power of music with as many people as possible!

Raised by an opera singer, Erika was exposed to classical music before birth; she knew how to read music before she could read words! From an early age, Erika knew that she was going to be a musician. At 10 years old, she began her study of piano; at 12, she taught herself viola and violin. Her career started at the age of 14 with a church pianist job and her very first private student. By 16, she was playing viola with the local symphony orchestra, accompanying collegiate vocalists, and teaching adults 20 years her senior. Before leaving for college, Erika had the very special honor of being one of eight pianists chosen state-wide to attend the Tennessee Governor's School ...

From the first time Erika came into our home to teach my 10 year old daughter, we all felt relaxed, comfortable and happy to have her here. My daughter adores the lessons! they go by so quickly and even though they cover a lot of ground and Erik is strict about the learning and getting it right, she is always so encouraging and supportive! I hear them laughing lots and my daughter is always happy and glowing after the lesson. she practices more readily and looks forward to her lesson every week!. So thank you Erika

Erika is great! She really explains things in a way that makes sense to me, and she is all about the positive reinforcement, which makes learning to play the violin fun.
Randall K. Clearwater, FL

I start with the All for Strings books, add Suzuki for our first songs then move on to Wohlfahrt first position studies. Also we learn our positions and violin solos music.

About Randall

I have been teaching music for over 20 years and playing as a professional musician for even longer. I know how to get the best out of my students and have fun doing it. I'm a University of South Florida grad and I have worked and studies in Las Vegas and at the Berklee school of music. My students constantly win superiors at contest and sit in the upper chairs in band and orchestra. Lets have some fun and make some music.

*** Lesson Details ***
In a laid back fun way we will learn the fundamentals of our instrument. I start out with the All For Strings series of books and add the Suzuki method books for some tunes. In 3 to 6 months you will be playing the music you like and having fun and learning new things while you do.

Randall makes sure that you don't persist with any bad habits that will prevent you from learning how to play the instrument properly. He also gives you simple analogies why some things need to be done a certain way...and as a side benefit, you will learn about music history as it relates to what you are doing.

My daughter enjoys her lessons with Randall and has learned a lot. He is very patient with her and she especially likes that he explains why he wants her to do the things he asks her to do!

Amanda is an amazing vocalist and an even more talented violinist! I have heard Amanda perform countless times in many different styles and settings and she never disappoints. If Amanda's musicianship alone were not enough, she is personable, friendly, fun, and an excellent instructor! She has one of the best ears in the business!
