"If music is not fun it is useless" I urge my students to play their instruments not practice! I will teach music theory as I teach you any style or all styles. Patience is the key and I am constantly filled with it. You will progress as you learn the ins and outs of your instrument and music.

I have been involved with music since age 5, and continued in high school and college. I have an Masters Degree in Music from Valparaiso University. I taught 13 years in Indiana and 27 years in Florida.
I have taught all levels of vocal and instrumental music as well as music recertification classes on the college level.

Students are expected to be prepared for their lessons. Practice time should not be mandated. A motivated student will be eager to practice without being told. However, parents can encourage them to practice and encourage a consistent practice time. Lessons will be designed to stimulate learning music, understanding the principles of child's instrument, and establish confidence in the child's performance.
I am a motivator of students having taught middle school students the last 27 years.

I teach in my house. I have a console piano and a Kawai EP 3 digital electric piano which is available. My studio also has recording equipment which can be used for student to hear their progress. Parents are also welcome to stay in the room with the child.

I'm a University of South Florida grad and I have worked and studies in Las Vegas and at the Berklee school of music. About Me

With more than 10 years of experience in music lessons, Jason has cultivated a method that is accessible to any style, yet keeping a universally strong technical approach.

As a vocalist, Jason has been a part of numerous church choirs, mixed choruses, and barbershop quartets. He has performed in Russia, Rome, Carnegie Hall, the Atlantis Hotel, and other places around the USA. He was the Music Director/Instrumentalist/Singer in St. Petersburg College's 2012 production of Godspell, and is the Band Director/Male Lead (Sonny Malone) in their 2013 production of Xanadu.

Instrumentally, he began piano and clarinet studies in 1988. He added the saxophone and trumpet in 1995, and the oboe in 2008. He as participated in many ensembles around Florida, and has even performed on live TV in St. Petersburg, Russia.

We believe that music instruction should be enjoyable, built on a solid technical foundation, inspire creativity, and match each individual's goals. Our lessons are taught by competent working professionals committed to giving you or your child a thorough and fun music experience.
