About Sabrina

I've been banging on the piano since I was 3, but piano became more structured when I turned 7 and I've loved it so much since then. I've been classically trained for 13 years and my favorite genre is modern Japanese classical music. I also studied with a dedicated musician for 2 years; he finished my studies in music theory and allowed me to co-teach on his private lessons.
I have been teaching students, and have been taught by them, for three years. Children somehow seem drawn to my personality and aren't intimidated when I am around and I believe students benefit greatly when they are comfortable with the teacher and can feel natural around them. The teaching process is most successful when the students share their ideas, disagreements, goals; when they are ...

Sarah H. Marietta, GA

About Sarah

I'd like to start off by stating that I am above all a passionate musician, who loves to share this passion with everyone and anyone. I do this by teaching and performing the Violin. My first goal in being a teacher is to make you enthusiastic and passionate about music to make learning the Violin more enjoyable and therefore you will learn quickly and become a virtuoso faster. My second goal is to teach you discipline, an important skill in not only Violin practice but also in life in general. Learning a musical instrument can really be beneficial in future work environments and in schooling. Below is my resume if interested. :)

Sarah is a classically trained violinist beginning her schooling at the age of seven where she showed great promise as a performer. She has since ...

Perfect situation

My daughter enjoys Sarah as she is friendly and close to her same age so they can relate, giving her a positive role model as well. Having other children with other activities each week, I love that she comes to our house sparing me another trip out at night.

Outstanding Teacher!

Though I have only just started learning from Sarah, the one unique aspect of her teaching ability is that she listens and modifies her lessons specifically where the student needs the most guidance. Her more non-traditional format of teaching is excellent for someone who wants to understand the classical theory of the violin but is also interested in modern styles. I am impressed by her ability to build lesson materials based upon the student's individual goals and desires.

Beyond the technical aspects of her teaching, Sarah has a clear and unquestionable love for the violin and a desire for her students to succeed and gain the same sense of joy that the instrument obviously brings to her. It is one thing to be able teach the fundamental mechanics of playing music but is a far greater ability to teach the power that comes from loving something you are learning. In my experience as a military training officer, there are few people who know how to touch their students in a way that they desire to be better than they were the day before or to become more than they are in their own minds. Sarah is one of those gifted instructors that inspires others to greatness.

If you have a serious desire to learn the violin and want to make it part of your life, I highly recommend choosing Sarah as your instructor. I have no doubt that she will impress you as much as she has me.

If you have a daughter who wants to learn to play a guitar CALL SASHA!!!! She is great with teenagers. Our daughter already played violin so she already knew how to read music and had an understanding of playing instruments. We just wanted to get her started so she could carry on by herself. When we explained this to Sasha, she made sure our daughter's lessons let her do just what we asked for. She is very understanding of the typical shyness of teenage girls and helped our daughter flourish in many ways. I would recommend Sasha to anyone, any age, or any needs.

My son, Joe, has been taking guitar lessons from Mrs. Aimee since he was in kindergarten. He is now in third grade. In second grade, he also started taking voice lessons from Mrs. Aimee. She has been a God-sent to us! She is a professional, hard-working guitar instructor. She also worked with our crazy schedule and taught Josiah through Skype a few times when we could not make it to her location on time. Mrs. Aimee is a consistent teacher who also is very patient and loving with her students. She made the lessons fun and interesting for my son by incorporating the kind of music genres that he liked. She is not only Josiah's guitar teacher but has now become a friend of the family.

I just had my first lesson with Aimee. Even though it is only my first I have no qualms about testifying to Aimee's ability as a teacher. I am very impressed. Aimee was boundless with her praise, encouragement and enthusiasm yet she tempered everything with constructive criticism which zeroed in on my particular needs. You must understand that I had had 2 years of classical guitar lessons (and I use the word 'lessons' loosely) with another instructor not associated with "Take Lessons", and I was at a point where I still felt like a novice and was even asking myself whether or not I would ever get any better. Fortunately for me, I found Aimee. She made my lesson time fun, sorely lacking with my previous instructor. She made it exciting! Her praise and encouragement was genuine and heartfelt. Her knowledge of her craft and instrument was extremely impressive. In my opinion, she is a gifted teacher and I very much look forward to a long and rewarding association. Need I say it? Well, I will anyway. Aimee is a very competent teacher and I highly recommend her. My time with her was well spent and productive. She has given me hope and excitement again about learning to play guitar.

About Stephen

I am a 24 year old, trumpet/acoustic guitar player with a degree in music performance and music education. I have played in orchestral, brass, and other ensembles, recorded soundtracks, as well as marched with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle corps for several years. Ive been playing trumpet as well as acoustic guitar for over 10 years now. I believe music education is vital to a student, no matter what age. It not only teaches lessons on concentration and dexterity, but enables them to overcome obstacles in the future that are not limited to music, but life in general.

My teaching techniques are based on a progressive style. I believe outstanding musicianship is achieved through the fundamentals of the instrument. I've been teaching for over seven years; with high school ensembles, ...
