Over 25 years experience as a guitarist, bassist, performer, songwriter and teacher. I specialize in Rock, Blues, Country, Pop, Metal, Jazz styles on guitar and bass. I'm currently playing bass in an original band called The Sedans and two 80's tribute bands called 80s Rewind and The Pacmen in addition to teaching and coaching young bands at West Coast Rock School.

For as long as I can remember, I have been singing and dancing, mostly by ear and by mimicking music videos. My first passion was R&B and pop. I began taking lessons at age 15 and my musical world opened to genres such as art song and musical theater, due to a fantastic teacher.

I left home to study music at Cal State, Long Beach. There, I was challenged with more difficult subjects, like opera and Lieder. My appetite continued to grow as I immersed myself in performance, competitions, and traveling the world with college choirs.

All the while, I did my best to satisfy my true self by collaborating with fellow musicians. I sang in my first band, Flexx, when I was in high school, then 2 others while in college. Professionally, I was a back-up vocalist and percussionist with the Sam Morrison Band from 2006-2012, where I traveled all over the country. My name is Chris and I am a professional guitar player. I have been teaching for about four years now and sharing the joy of music with others has become a passion of mine.
I started playing the piano at the age of five, the trumpet at nine and the guitar at thirteen. Over the years I have also learned to play the drums, bass, harmonica as well as how to sing! I studied at L.A. Music Academy as well as Musicians Institute. I currently am recording my debut solo album and recently played the National Anthem for a profession football team!

I have over 15 years of playing and songwriting experience, and have over 10 years of recording, performing, and teaching experience. Introducing people to new techniques and musical ideas is always rewarding to me because it reminds me of the magic I have felt when learning a new way to further my musical ability. I have written, recorded and performed original material as well as cover songs both in various groups and by myself on multiple instruments. Music is my life. I love music and all of its aspects and I love to teach it. The number one thing about me is that I'm patient. I have taught many students of many different age groups and with much success. My main instrument is voice and I can teach all types of singing: musical theater, pop, jazz, classical, and opera. In addition I can teach up to intermediate level piano and guitar. I can teach all the major and minor scales, chords, and progressions in addition to different types of music.
