About Me
Born in Dallas, Texas, I began playing the drums at age 16. A big part of my influence came from my father; who’s drumming skills inspired me to pick up the drums myself. Throughout high school, I performed in the marching band and wind ensemble where I studied along side John Brennan (The Cavaliers). During my high school and college years, I performed with many bands and individual musicians, gaining popularity in the Dallas area. Soon after, I made plans to attend Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA.
In 2010, I began my intensive studies at Musicians Institute, studying with Rob Carson, Ed Roscetti, Gary Hess, and private instruction by Gary Garbitini and Tim McIntyre. I quickly learned the styles of funk, latin, jazz, and the many other genres of music. After a year of schooling, I then auditioned and was accepted into Musicians Institute’s prestigious Bachelor of Arts program.
