Born in Dallas, Texas, I began playing the drums at age 16. A big part of my influence came from my father; who’s drumming skills inspired me to pick up the drums myself. Throughout high school, I performed in the marching band and wind ensemble where I studied along side John Brennan (The Cavaliers). During my high school and college years, I performed with many bands and individual musicians, gaining popularity in the Dallas area. Soon after, I made plans to attend Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA.
In 2010, I began my intensive studies at Musicians Institute, studying with Rob Carson, Ed Roscetti, Gary Hess, and private instruction by Gary Garbitini and Tim McIntyre. I quickly learned the styles of funk, latin, jazz, and the many other genres of music. After a year of schooling, I then auditioned and was accepted into Musicians Institute’s prestigious Bachelor of Arts program.

My name is Alan and I am a drummer living in the Nashville area with a drum performance degree from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. I've been playing drums for over 19 years and started out playing in my church worship band. Over the years I've been blessed to play in dozens of churches, work with countless artists/bands, tour and study with some amazing drummers. Some highlights so far include opening for Grammy nominated rock band “red,” and Dove Award Nominated Christian rock band, “Disciple,” and performing multiple times on the FOX affiliate, FOX 8 morning show in Cleveland, OH. I believe that we are all students of our craft no matter what level and that we can always learn something new. I'm constantly listening to new music, practicing drums as often as possible, and overall just trying to grow and better myself as a musician.

I teach music lessons in Nashville, I teach students from ages 6 to 65.

I can teach drums, piano, guitar, bass and other instruments, for just about any style including pop, rock and classical.

I have Bachelor of Arts in Music from Arizona State University, where I specialized in Guitar performance. I'm a firm believer that playing music and learning an instrument should be fun, and I try to emphasize that in every lesson I teach. The curriculum that I use is entirely tailored to the student, based off of their needs and skill level, as well as the style of music they listen to. I have a simple approach to learning a new instrument, you get what you put into it.

I am a Nashville native. I have played drums for 20+ years, and have played professionally for all genres; from rock to country, from jazz to hip/hop and even Broadway-Style musicals. I have been teaching lessons privately for that last four years and I am really enjoying it. I went to Trevecca Nazarene University, on a musical scholarship and graduated with a degree in Music Business with an influence on percussion performance. I have spent time on tour buses and in studios but now that my family is growing, I want to spend more time at home. Teaching lessons has allowed me to do that and I have found a new level of fulfilment sharing my love for drumming with my students. I am very excited about joining the TakeLessons team.

I am Graham. I grew up in southern California, went to college in Denver, CO, and now live in Nashville, TN! I have been playing the drums for 12 years and teaching for the last six of those. When I am not teaching drum lessons, I can normally be found in one of two places. Either in a recording studio or on the road criss crossing the country.

Over the past four years my passion for music has provided me with many incredible experiences. I started a recording studio, Left + Right Music, I've toured from California to Florida and just about everywhere in between, and the reason we are both here, I've been lucky enough to teach some pretty incredible people to play the drums.

At age 24 there are very few places Jeremy has not traveled to. From the biggest stages to the tiniest of venues, Jeremy makes an impact musically wherever he goes. In addition to being a touring musician Jeremy has cut a considerable amount of records in the studio. Genres ranging from Pop, Country, and Folk to Hip-Hop, Gospel, Rock, and R&B. When Jeremy is not caught up in his studio writing he hosts Drum Clinics annually. His Drum Clinics allow both students and performers the opportunity to watch Jeremy in action behind the drum set in a more private, relaxed atmosphere. Jeremy has been featured in Drum Magazine in August 2011 'New Blood' and has received additional write-ups with a vast amount of other artists, bands, and groups he has traveled and recorded with. He is currently a freelancing musician still gigging on the regular in the Nashville area.

I've played in rock bands, country bands, orchestras, drum lines, small and big jazz bands, funk, soul, latin, CCM, and hip hop groups, and played all kinds of venues from arenas to cruise ships.

I have my Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, and met some of my favorite drummers/teachers along the way. I myself have studied with drum greats such as Dave DiCenso, Mike Mangini, Terri Lyne Carrington, Kenwood Dennard, Steve Wilkes, and Kim Plainfield.
