LeAnna S. Los Angeles, CA

I've taught theatrical acting for 8 years, working with kids and adults to uncover try artist within. With my dance background, I like to focus on physicality, improv and strong characterization. Theatre is one of my greatest loves in life and I love to teach it.

About LeAnna

Hi! My name is LeAnna and I am a performing artist and teacher in Los Angeles. I am 29 years old, live in Los Angeles, CA and graduated from San Francisco State University where I received my BA in Classical Music, my BA in Dance, with a focus in choreography, and a minor in Multi-Cultural Theatre. I work as an actor, singer, dancer, choreographer, Zumba instructor and teacher. I love the work that I do and teaching the performing arts is a great joy in my life.
So, just a little bit about me- My father was a saxophone jazz-playing musician who made music an important part of my life. I began piano when I was 7 years old and basically self-taught until I reached the university where I had some formal training. I fell into singing via theatre in high school and picked up trombone my ...

I am a composer and LeAnna has performed some of my vocal music. Her last performances of my work was a soprano duet at two very large grand ballroom. Both times people rose to their feet and a number of people were moved to tears. It was a great success!

LeAnna has a very beautiful, pure tone in her singing.

LeAnna is definitely a good teacher to start with!

I have taken singing class with LeAnna for about two months and it was definitely a positive experience. LeAnna is a good teacher to start with and I've learnt lot from her.

LeAnna is a very easy-going and encouraging instructor. She would try to find something good in me every time and appreaciate it. She would also find something I was doing wrong and point it out directly instead of like it vanish in the appreaciation. So I feel energetic and know what to improve at the same time. Moreover, LeAnna's teaching environment is quite comfortable. It is a clean, tidy, and quiet room. I wouldn't feel nervous there. And, there is plenty space where I could move within and sing quite comfortable.

An an instructor, LeAnna has good exercises which would build my technique little by little. She would offer a group of exercises for a specific training area and they are not difficult and seem easy to do. I would not feel practicing those exercises sucking too much of my energy. But, when I came back to sing, I would feel that without noticing, I could done what I couldn't done before, which was pretty amazing.

LeAnna is also reliable and knowledgeable of the industry. She is not only an instructor but also the singer/dancer/actor who do shows. She would tell me how this industry is like, what and how to prepare for the audition, and what details I should focus on (i.e. Don't change schedule after you have been confirmed with the stage manager) and what aspect I don't have to worry (i.e. I could go to another audition if you are wating for another result; just tell them you are waiting.) This helped me a lot to know what the custom is like in this area.

Amazing singng instructor

Crystal has increased my daughter’s self-esteem and expressiveness through song. My daughter is now writing her own poetry and song lyrics, as well as being able to combat her once shyness quality. She loves to perform in front of others now and has a confidence level that amazes me, especially now that she is going into those “teen” years. I think a lot of thanks needs to go to Crystal, for assisting my daughter in reaching her current creative level!

Crystal is an amazing piano instructor. She is patient, understanding and dedicated. My daughter has learned so much from her. My daughter’s love for music has increased immensely since learning how to play the piano. This would never have been able to be accomplished without Crystal’s professional and caring teaching style.

She is great at finding the language that allows me to understand adjustments, and is very patient and understanding. I was at ease from the first moment I met her. I have much experience in acting in the theater. I will use that experience to work with students on techniques, energy, vocal production, characterization, exercises, and games for theater actors. We will work on projection of the voice, articulation in reading lines, finding and portraying characters, and finding and using themselves in each role.

She has pursued the performing arts in her training, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (Vocal Performance and Education) from Azusa Pacific University, as well as a Masters in Education from Grand Canyon University. Voice Has Never Been Better

In my now four years with her, Ms. Olsen has been an amazing, kind, and awesome teacher to have and work with. If it wasn't for her, my voice wouldn't sound as beautiful as it would have sounded without her teaching me. Going from classical songs to Italian songs to now modern/pop songs, my voice has gone through many different techniques to help my singing become better, which it has. Overall, I have learned a bunch from Ms. Olsen and I wouldn't want a different teacher either way. I am really happy my mother asked me if I wanted to take voice lesson. Thank you Ms. Olsen! :)

Singing
A shining star

Cymbaline Olsen is a shining star. Her talent and energy is boundless. Her ability to calmly listen, to sculpt, and to mold vocalists of all ages, ranges and abilities is second to none. Many acclaimed vocalists have minimal strengths in terms of "coaching-up" less competent vocalists. Cymbaline, however, is a natural teacher. She is a rare talent in that regard. Cymbaline's strength is teaching and performance. Her expertise in music theory, vocal phrasing and vocal scales is extraordinary. Cymbaline can teach you that Yes...you Can Sing....And Yes, you will!
I highly recommend Cymbaline for your Vocal Lessons.

There are many approaches to acting out there, but one constant is that of learning to be in touch with your character. Acting lessons can help you learn methods to take character study step by step, allowing you to open yourself up to free-flowing, improvisational acting, where you feel like you are just "being" the character. This in addition to scene study techniques, vocal diction, character research and development, and other tools, will help you improve your craft one step at a time.

About Eulis

I have been performing as a musician for two decades and acting since I was a small boy. I started my musical education as a woodwind player and settled in to the wonderful world of singing over time. Music has opened me up to so many opportunities like touring the world, performing in marvelous concert halls, and working with some of today's most revered artists, as well as giving me the opportunity to expand my acting craft through various plays, musicals, television, and film.

Performing has been my salvation. It has been a best friend and constant source of joy, and I share this gift with others so that it might offer them the same. In this 10th year of teaching, I have new experiences to draw from and share with my students. Having spent my last 6 years performing with ...

I could not recommend a better teacher and person in Eulis. His kind spirit, patient demeanor, and gifted voice provides any student with a strong example of what a professional musician looks like. What most people need is someone who doesn't just paint by the numbers but who is able to assess your goals, talents and desires and match it with just the right program; you'll progress quickly and enjoy every minute of the effort. Because of his vast experience, breadth of skills and years of singing, Eulis provides the kind of musical insights that help you find out who you are and discover or refine your voice. Thanks, Eulis for all the great work we've done together and I look forward to more!

Before we get to Eulis, let’s talk me ;) I am 18 years old, and until about a month ago I had not a bit of experience in singing. At all! YOLO though, so I got online and did the searches, and immediately found Eulis. I read he had some experience performing with Disney and he had some videos of himself singing. I was drawn in by his talent and apparent, very genuine love for voice and music, just as you probably were, in that you are taking the time to read his reviews! Anyways, let me just fill you in to how much more there is to Eulis. Right off the bat, Eulis is an extremely comfortable spirit who gives off a very sincere eagerness to help you in the journey to reaching your vocal potential. Every lesson I have had, I am surprised at how easy it is to develop a skill which forces so much vulnerability from those who try to master it. Eulis creates a completely safe and fun environment in his studio were you can take risks and play with music and your voice. I feel I have his complete dedication and attention in every minute of a lesson, and even through some assignments he gives me to complete independently. Also guys, improvement is fast under Eulis’s direction. In lessons he teaches to condition the entire performer. In other words, equal focus is split between the physicality and techniques of singing and the connection to emotions in music. The combination makes you feel more like a pro than you ever thought you would! Honestly, I could not be more confident that Eulis has the talent to bring out the best of my own. Just book your first lesson to see what I mean. Happy singing!
