Hello,
My name is Ted and I love to teach music. Mostly I enjoy being able to offer back what was given to me when I was a student. A solid skills foundation combined with fun and enjoyment will keep you interested and dedicated to your instrument.
As a guitarist I have spent years doing "session" studio work out of the northern new york music scene in and out of my own production company, Panic Room Productions. I first attended SUNY Oneonta and received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Industry and then went on to start my production company specializing in producing local singer songwriters. This allowed me to become somewhat of a chameleon, having to assume many different playing styles in order to meet the needs of the artists I was producing. Privately I have taught instrument instruction since 2004.
While not recording or teaching I take care of my two Siberian Huskies and spend time with my very artsy wife who loves math, designs dresses, and creates dog collars....

I am a musician and teacher who has been playing music since my childhood. I've played on stage in front of over a thousand people, and I've performed quiet venues with audiences of 30 or so. I have incredible patience; I can teach at any pace for as long as the student remains engaged in learning. I can teach open chords, barre chords, the CAGED system, standard notation, jazz notation, TAB, Nashville numbers, how to use a capo, triads, quartal harmonies, fingerstyle, classical, blues, jazz, rock n roll, pop, etc...Pretty much anything that the student gets excited about, I can get excited about. I believe that a teacher is just as able to learn from a lesson as the student, and I'm driven to learn something new every single day. I've been playing in bands for 8 years, I've recorded 3 albums, I spent one year at Liberty University taking music theory, sight singing, and classical guitar lessons, and I have played guitar for over 4,000 hours.
