Watching her aunt perform a piano sonata at a graduation ceremony inspired Anne to learn to play the piano at age seven. After years of lessons, she stopped to pursue other interests, including a degree in Electrical Engineering. But the music never really left her so after what turned out to be a 20-year break, Anne began again in 2002 studying music theory, adding a return to piano performance in 2004. In April 2008, Anne debuted her own compositions in recital. Several piano students have performed her music as well, both as "teaching pieces" and in recital.
