I am a part-time music instructor specializing in piano, organ, voice and percussion. I hold a Bachelors Degree from Westminster College in Music Business where I assisted with multiple musicals and school affiliated music groups. I have over 16 years of personal music experience and have studied with some of the nations top musicians. I have been teaching privately and in groups for over 6 years and my students have ranged from age 5 to age 55. I have taught in all genres of music including classical, jazz, blues, rock, gospel and much more. I am a firm believer that anyone with the desire can learn to play and perform music no matter what their background. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from Temple University and spent 6 years performing in NYC with various groups and ensembles. I have studied and teach Classical guitar, Theory from both a classical and Jazz view point, Composition/Arrangement, Counterpoint and performance techniques such as repertoire building and maintenance.

I've played flute for 12 years and piano for 7. This is my first time teaching, but my dream job would be to teach lessons from my home. Hello! I am currently a student at Carnegie Mellon University, where I am pursuing a Master Degree in Trombone Performance. I study Trombone with Peter Sullivan of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh in the Summer of 2011, I was studying Music Education at Youngstown State University.

I have a great love of performing in many different styles and venues, from Symphony Orchestras to Drum and Bugle Corps, to Jazz Big Bands. I am a former member of the World Class Drum and Bugle Corps, Phantom Regiment, and was in the group as a Euphonium player when we won the DCI 2008 World Championship with our Award Winning Show, "Spartacus". Other performance includes the CMU Philharmonic, Greenville Symphony Orchestra, Pierre Monteux Festival Orchestra, Dana Jazz Ensemble, Dana Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and the Wagon Wheel Theater Orchestra.

I grew up around Atlanta, GA and started playing piano when I was around 7 years old and bass when I was 11. Most of my education has been on the upright bass. I've studied classical bass performance at major music schools on the east coast and in the midwest. I've studied and worked with musicians from many of the great orchestras around the world.

I enjoy working with students who are just coming to the bass or piano for the first time and getting them started with music in a rewarding way as well as more advanced students that need finer musical direction or audition coaching.
