Collin is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and graduate of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy High School. He earned the Bachelor of Arts Degree in music at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. Collin continued his music studies in earning the Master of Music Degree in Organ Performance from Emory University also in Atlanta. Collin has studied organ in England, France and Germany in addition to having competed nationally in the National Association of Negro Musicians Organ Competition and in the Atlanta Chapter of the American Guild of Organists Graduate Competition. In addition to teaching private piano lessons, he currently serves as organist at Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church in Kettering, Ohio.

Hello! My name is Kiersten N, MT-BC. I am a board certified music therapist and I love teaching all ages the joy of music! I graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelors degree in Music Therapy. I finished my internship in Columbus, Ohio where I worked full time with children with autism. I am now back in my hometown of Cincinnati with my soon to be husband ready to teach!
At the University of Dayton, I performed with numerous groups from varying genres. My favorite genre to teach is jazz but my students are exposed to all sorts of genres. I also received many awards from the University of Dayton for my performances and contributions to the music department.
I have experience teaching clarinet and guitar while I was a student and teaching piano to children with autism during my internship. I look forward to working with you and helping you discover the wonderful world of music!

Bio for David P.:

At age eight he began formal training with St. Elizabeth’s church organist. At twelve David acquired a drum set and began drum lessons; soon after, his family band was playing regularly for enthusiastic crowds. While attending Xavier University, David continued to play in several groups. At Xavier, David received a degree in music with a focus on music technology. He performed with the Xavier University Choir for four years conducted by the music department chair Helmut Roerig. During the same period David performed with the Percussion Ensemble and studied drums with John Gardner . He studied voice with Harriet Beebe and piano with Rebecca Slater. While studying electronic music at Xavier, David began teaching classes with professor James Hart.

David has written countless compositions. His songs have aired on corporate videos, commercials, and MTV. He now operates Ambient Studios, writing, recording and producing music, while also teaching music....

I have been playing guitar since the age of 9. I have studied Classical, and Jazz at CCM's Prep Dept. in middle school and throughout high school as well as rock, folk, country etc. with other local teachers. I started teaching lessons at the age of 18 in local music stores and have never stopped. While doing this I attended The College of Mount St. Joseph where I studied Classical and Jazz guitar as well as Music Ed. In addition to my 22 years of private lesson experience, I have 2 years of classroom experience teaching general music in elementary schools. I believe it is my years as a student and instructor that enable me to be an effective teacher, having had learned what worked for me as a student, and what has shown to work as a teacher.

I believe that everyone has the ability to sing, even the student with the most vocal faults. Will everyone that I teach go on to sing at the Metropolitan Opera, American Idol, or any other world famous music hall? Realistically speaking, the answer is no. However, I believe that with proper training, patience, and practice everyone can enjoy the art of singing within their own level of giftedness.

I take that time to listen to a student's instrument and lesson by lesson determine what is the best course of positive action that I and the student need to take in order to achieve the best results not just for today but for the longterm future. I want my students to be enjoy singing, sing excellently, but also have longevity with their voices.

Voice study requires discipline, patience, and the desire to be better everyday! There is a good deal of effort that the student must carry on their own in that they must practice what they have been taught and come prepared to lessons....

I have been a professional musician for seventeen years and have taught guitar and bass for seven. I have a passion for teaching and love seeing a new student go from being a novice to learning songs and eventually writing their own. I also teach students who already play but would like to learn new styles, such as finger-picking, or new musical genres. I teach students ages 5-99.
