I started my journey with singing in high school by participating in the school musicals and different choir ensembles. When I got to college I started taking private lessons and music classes for fun until I realized this is my passion. Then I started my journey with really learning the voice as an instrument and how it works. I am a vocal scientist at heart believing you will go a long way as long as you know how to grow.

I then went on to get my degree at VanderCook College of Music where they teach nothing but music education so I was able to learn all the band and orchestral instruments on top regular classes and voice lessons. I took the time to study privately with our percussion professor to learn rhythms and with our sight singing and ear training professor to further develop my ear and knowledge. All in all I have been studying the voice for seven years and counting. I do all this so that I could pass that experience down to you.

Hello, my name is Brian and I am currently studying my Bachelor's in Music Education at VanderCook College of Music. It is the only college in the world that specializes in specifically Music Education, and has been since 1909. The school teaches us a basic understanding of 17 instruments and voice, while also teaching theory, aural skills, music history, professional ed courses, and includes a large number of various ensembles. Mezzo Soprano, Andrea began her career in music at the age of five when she began accordion lessons. It was apparent at an early age that Andrea was a natural and not long after, she was entered into local, national, and international competitions. Andrea competed in organizations such as American Accordionists Association, International Couple Mondiale held in Hungary and Slovakia, and Grand Prix held In Geneva, Switzerland, to name a few.
After making a name for herself on the national and international scene, Andrea decided to further her music career by earning her Bachelor's in Music from Saint Xavier University, studying under Jan Bickel, DMA. I've always loved to sing from my earliest remembrance along with a love for the piano and a desire to play. I attended Academy of Our Lady - High School where I took four years of piano as well as vocal instruction. I performed with a group called The Madrigals as a 'high soprano' during those years. I further attended Wheaton College, attained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in music. I was educated musically through Wheaton's Conservatory of Music. I have been playing the bass guitar for 21 years. I have played for Jazz Bands, Big Bands, Quartets, and Churches. The songs that I have played range from Jazz, Funk, Rock, Ska, Gospel, Straight Jazz, Latin, R&B, Pop, and Blues.

I played Music in High School and in College. Though I am more comfortable with the bass guitar, I can also play and teach lead guitar as well. I have been playing the lead guitar for 10 years. I have taught many beginner students how to play both bass and guitar throughout my music career. Many have moved on to become professional bass players.

I have been studying drum set for 13 years. In my senior year of high school I attended the Merit School of Music studying with percussionist Doug Brush. I went on to attend Roosevelt University’s Music Conservatory, studying classical percussion under percussionist Ed Harris and then transferred to Columbia College where I was able to study with drummer’s Frank Donaldson and Tom Hipskind, drummer/percussionist Ruben Alvarez, and drummer/vibraphonist Jarrett Hicks. Through my experiences and education I was able to hone my skills and solidify my musicianship. Nick comes from a family of four generations of music in the GREEK/Balkan repertoire. He graduated from Columbia College of Chicago with a concentration in Music Composition in December of 2009. Currently teaching and performing professionally, Nick enjoys all styles of music, but has been declared as an "old soul" by many of his friends. He enjoys playing lots of Motown, funk, and jazz, but is proficient in Classical, Rock, and Blues as well. Hi My name is Mary Kay I am a Music Education major at VanderCook College of Music. I am a trombone major and vocal minor. I've been singing for 16 years and playing Trombone for 15 years.
