About Michael

No need to be nervous before my lessons. My lessons have a comfortable atmosphere where students can be okay with learning with mistakes; through trial and error. I always keep a light mood with quick bits of humor. I teach in a relaxing way, but at the same time you may expect to leave with new musical knowledge every lesson. I enjoy showing the connections between music and other areas of study and life. I always finds ways to work a student's personal interests into lessons. I always strive to help students learn how to practice in an efficient and organized way.

I am a published composer and active performer/teacher/conductor with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Conducting!

Monica S. Milwaukee, WI

About Monica

I am a flutist, keyboardist, vocalist, director, composer, arranger, and educator who has performed in chamber ensembles specializing in Baroque repertoire since 1998. I have over twenty years of professional flute and piano performance as well as instruction on those instruments to my credit. My studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Indiana University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison covered the theoretical, historical, and performing aspects of music. My coursework in Madison led me to researching the secular cantatas of Christoph Graupner in Darmstadt, Germany on a Fulbright.

In addition to interest in performing newly-composed music for traverso and harpsichord, my recent work with many different people as a church music director has led me back to a want to teach ...

Anyone young and old will enjoy learning to play the piano with Terri!

Terri is the perfect match when it comes to being my piano teacher. Not only is Terri knowledgeable and professional, she is also very patient and encouraging. She has made me appreciate the challenge of learning the piano by combining technique and theory along with fun and laughter in my lessons. With Terri, the lesson is not over until she makes sure I understand what she has just taught me. She is the best! I am so lucky I found her! I highly recommend her!

More people should know about Take Lessons.

My Instructor, Terri, is knowledgeable, patient and flexible. I am a professional, mature student with a super busy schedule who had never played a musical instrument before. Terri has been able to provide the knowledge and encouragement that I need, along with the enjoyment of playing the piano. I could not have asked for a better fit. Terri is valuable to any age group.

Highly recommend! Has been my son(s) teacher for about six years.

Terri is extremely professional and works well with children. She enjoys teaching and laughs with the children. She makes learning the piano fun, and will allow a child to pass and play similar songs at that level so the material is not monotonous and boring for the child. It also gives the child confidence when they do not have to repeat the same piece, but can learn the material from different books and pieces rather than repeating one song over and over. Terri is not a time watcher at all, but cares more about the child getting the lesson and understanding it well. I am so very glad I found her to teach both my sons. Highly recommend!

Nothing short of WONDERFUL!!! She has the ability to reach what used to be
my very shy grand daughter. Makes her feel comfortable enough to quickly get over and correct mistakes and move on. This has opened so many more doors for her. She so looks forward to coming every week. Thank you for your time!

Guys and Gals, If you or your kids are looking for a great teacher. You have come to the right place. He makes learning fun with his great personality and a giant variety of fun techniques to have you playing the guitar very quickly. When I started with him I really never picked up a guitar. Now I am playing live gigs with my own band and writing my own music. I just recently started singing lessons. I have my first one coming up on Wednesday. If they are anything like learning the guitar with Paul. I can't wait! Thanks Paul, You really have changed the way I listen and now play music!!
