Inspired by Metallica I started playing guitar when I was 13. Self taught for 3 years I developed a passion and love for music. I then decided to expand my knowledge with a local guitarist who made a huge impact on my playing, and eventually in the fall of 2007 I headed off to Los Angeles to attend the Musician’s Institute for guitar performance. Over the course of the last 9 years I’ve been a part of 6 different live performing bands and I am currently working with Delphian. The band was featured in the new Mike Judge film “Extract” and is composed entirely of MI graduates including myself. As a former MI student I have also studied and performed in many different styles other than metal such as blues, jazz, rock, and classical. I'm Nicole and I look forward to working with you! I am a professional drummer/percussionist/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. I studied music at the University of Miami Frost School of music where I received a Bachelor's of Music in Studio Music and Jazz Drum Set Performance. I've performed on Television (Drums, piano, guitar, percussion) on the T.V. shows: "Glee," "Bones," "The Closer," "Oprah." I was the showband drummer on the Norwegian Dawn Cruise Ship in 2006 and the original drummer/percussionist/actor in the Off-Broadway Musical, "Dear Edwina" in New York City.

I've been surrounded by music literally my entire life - both of my parents were professional classical violinists, and my first word was "gig." Before taking up guitar, I'd studied piano and cello; as I focused more on guitar, that also led to interests in electronic music, recording production and engineering, and composition. I went on to obtain a BFA in guitar performance, and have been actively playing, writing, recording, and teaching for many years.

For beginning students, I combine basic playing technique with a solid foundation in musical fundamentals, including standard notation, rhythmic reading, and (when useful) tablature. For more advanced students, my specialty is in applying a number of core concepts (including theory, ear training, and technique) to a wide range of musical styles. I'll typically use examples from rock, jazz, and blues as ways of "connecting the dots" between core music concepts and their real-world application.

I'm a patient, easy-going teacher who focuses on positive encouragement, confidence-building, and helping you become the kind of singer you want to be. With a wide vocal range, I can teach you everything from the basics of breath support & diction to more advanced skills like belting, wailing, and the correct way to 'scream' in modern rock music. All of this is done with particular focus on the health and safety of the vocal cords. I have nearly 20 years of vocal experience. I've performed in choirs, musical theater, and most consistently in modern rock bands. I've studied at Emerson College and under numerous choral directors and vocal coaches, arming me with a lifetime of advice, tips & tricks to be a professional singer.

Hi! My name is Leah and I provide Beginner to Intermediate lessons in voice and piano. I am a professional singer/songwriter/recording artist with 10 years of training in voice and 12 years of training in piano. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Business from Anderson University (Anderson, Indiana) where I studied voice with Dr. Jeffrey Ballard and piano with Professor Ken Chan. I have spent the last 6 years singing, performing, writing, and recording professionally, and I love to share my musical passions with my students.

I have been playing the guitar for over 20 years. I've been trained in Jazz with a very strong musical theory background but my main passion is popular rock music. Music has always been the greatest passion in my life. In addition to the guitar I also play drums, pedal steel, bass, and piano so I have a good idea of how instruments work together to create music.

I've been playing professionally for the past 15 years touring Nationally and Internationally. I've toured with my own original acts as well as a hired lead guitar player for Shooter Jennings and others. I've also been a studio musician for some time now, hired to play on many different artists' recordings.

I've been a recording engineer and producer so I have a well rounded background in many aspects of music.
