Lesley grew up all over the United States, attending high school in Tennessee where she was very active in high school theatre, playing roles like Aunt Eller in Oklahoma! and Glinda in The Wizard of Oz. Lesley currently sings operatic repertoire ranging from Mozart to Bernstein and loves new composers and exploring new music. Lesley has studied with numerous teachers, coaches, directors, and conductors who have shaped her as a musician, and hopes to be able to impart some of what she has learned. I love to sing, and would love to help you explore singing as well.

I have been playing banjo for eleven years and touring in a band for four. For the beginner, I can teach banjo from the ground up. For the intermediate, I can teach plenty of tips and tricks to make playing with others more enjoyable. I teach Scruggs, Melodic, and Clawhammer styles, so you will learn the banjo from every angle. Lessons are informative, but laid back. Having fun is the most important part of playing and instrument, so that is how I try to teach.
I'm a classical guitarist and composer from Costa Rica. I've been living in the U.S. for ten years. I came to Bloomington, Indiana to pursue a master's degree in guitar and then I decided to stay and continue with a doctorate in music. I graduated in May of 2012 and have been working as an adjunct lecturer in music at the prestigious Jacobs School of Music for the last two years. I've been always extremely enthusiastic about teaching, which I started doing when I was 19 years old. I also teach and play all sorts of popular guitar, including electric guitar and electric bass. I have a minor in music theory and in composition, which are two areas in which I also enjoy teaching.
