Music became my life when I found a dusty guitar in the storage room at age 10. I owe a lot of really cool experiences to the guitar and so many of them center around learning. Teaching is fun and rewarding, but it is also my way of thanking the great teachers I've had.

Music is my passion! It is involved in every detail of my life, everyday of my life! Therefore, being able to teach others the skills that I have been so lucky to possess, i believe, is a gift! Being extremely versatile and able to play a wide variety of instruments (guitar, bass, mandolin, trumpet, music theory, composition and recording) as well as being familiar and experienced with almost any kind of music you can think of, I am able to help any student get exactly what he wants out of every lesson. I believe that the next generation of musicians are so vitally important to the continued creation of incredible music, music that changes the world! Without that first nudge out the door, who knows what the world could be missing out on! Lets keep the music alive! I have been teaching for about 6 years, through company studios and my own home. I have seen some amazing students walk in and out my door in this time and its the greatest feeling to hear students improve so much so quickly. I want you to be next!
I am a graduate from the University of Massachusetts Lowell where I received a bachelor's in Music Performance with a concentration in Sound Recording Technology, one of the best programs in the country, making dean's list every semester I attended. I am very laid back with students but like to keep students hard at work, practice makes perfect! So cliche but so true. I have years experience playing out in groups in the area and have even played at Symphony Hall with a Jazz/Rock Big Band, as well as the Berklee Performance Center in Boston.

Hey everyone, my name is Greg. Some of you may know me as the lead guitar player from the metal band Allegaeon. What most of your don't know is I love teaching!! Here's a little bit more about myself:
I graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, with a Bachelors degree in classical guitar performance. I have a passion for a wide range of music including fingerstyle acoustic, classical, jazz, heavy metal and funk. I'm currently in the internationally known metal band Allegaeon, on Metal Blade records. I've been called accomplished composer, some songs of which have been released on “Fragments of Form and Function” (2010), a record some critics have hailed as one of the best metal records of 2010, and one inews called "one of the greatest debut albums of all time". Our follow up record "Formshifter" broke at no. 2 on iTunes, and reached 3 Billboard charts. I've toured extensively throughout the continental US with Allegaeon, as well as the Midwest with classical ensembles and as a solo artist. I've also had an arrangement of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall Pt. III” featured on MTV by a group of my students.
My students have gone off to Berkeley School of Music, and the Peabody Conservatory. As well as done some nation wide touring supporting the band Yes.
I have been certified through the Suzuki Institute of Chicago, so I'm trained to teach your young ones as well.
"Steven is very professional and extremely helpful. He always has a smile on and is serious about helping you phrase the music. I would highly recommend him to anyone."
"It's been really exciting so far! Jordan has been so helpful, so knowledgeable. I could not have found a better instructor and I'm getting better and better every day."
"My daughter's wedding was weeks away and I had never been able to dance a step. With Jenny's help, I came further than ever before in such short time in any subject."
