About Me

For as long as I can remember, music has played a large part in my life. By the age ten, I already knew that music would be more than just a hobby for me, it would become my career. I have been singing for over 20 years, and began playing piano when I was eight years old. I received a BS in music industry studies with an emphasis on business, from the University of Colorado Denver in 2008. I have extensive experience in performance and the music industry as a business, and have had the pleasure of experiencing the local music scene first hand while playing in bands. I truly enjoy sharing my love of music and the industry with my students.

About Me

Music has been my passion in life for as long as I can remember. When I was very young, I would listen to my mother play the piano and after she was finished, I would climb onto the bench and attempt to play what she had just played. Then when I was twelve, I started playing piano with my mother during the church services, then moved to play the organ a couple years later.

I grew up in a small town in Nebraska, and I jumped at any chance I could get to play the piano. I first taught myself with old piano books, then took several years of formal lessons and became the go-to person people would contact for anything piano. In high school, I accompanied the choir and show choir, played in the band and jazz band, performed solos, concerts, and accompanied vocal solos for the District Music Contest. My senior year I was the sole accompanist for this contest.

About Me

I have been studying vocal techniques for 13 years. I have my Bachelors in Music Therapy, with a focus in voice. I have also taken two years of piano. I have been teaching voice lessons for two years. I have taught students of all ages and levels. I have performed recitals and also solos in church. I love helping students achieve their musical goals.

About Me

I've been playing piano since I was 6 yrs. old, and guitar and organ since I was 13. I've been able to use music in so many ways, and that is the opportunity I want for my students. From singing in school and church choirs, to accompanying and directing them, I've had a lot of enjoyable experiences. I've had the fun of performing solo and with bands, and have been teaching music for about 25 yrs, both privately and in the schools. My BA is in music education and my Masters is in individual performance. I've taught K-Jr College music classes in general music, chorus, piano, guitar, and theory. I think my favorite form of teaching is still one-on-one lessons. Working with one student allows me to adjust my teaching to their particular learning style and needs.

Erika is a multi-instrumentalist on a mission - to share the power of music with as many people as possible!

Raised by an opera singer, Erika was exposed to classical music before birth; she knew how to read music before she could read words! From an early age, Erika knew that she was going to be a musician. At 10 years old, she began her study of piano; at 12, she taught herself viola and violin. Her career started at the age of 14 with a church pianist job and her very first private student. By 16, she was playing viola with the local symphony orchestra, accompanying collegiate vocalists, and teaching adults 20 years her senior! Before leaving for college, Erika had the very special honor of being one of eight pianists chosen state-wide to attend the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts.

About Me

I love playing violin. I've been studying since the age of 5. I was very involved throughout middle school and high school with an intense pre-college program at Indiana University. We had music theory, master classes, chamber music, performances, and multiple lessons a week. It was during this time that I really knew that I wanted to major in violin performance, and had realized that music was a vital part of my life! By being a part of that pre-college program, I was given opportunities such as traveling the world with our group and doing concert tours, and playing with different professional artists, and orchestras. I was also involved in a youth orchestra until I graduated highschool. I attended Indiana University majoring in Violin performance. I hold a Bachelors and a Masters degree. About Me

We learn by teaching. That is why I love to teach, because I love to learn. I have made many great connections while teaching music to people and one of the ways to do that is to work together on a common goal. I started teaching music because during my own studies I have discovered many quick learning strategies that make playing music fun. Many of these strategies I had to discover on my own. Now I want to share these ideas with you.

Scott is a multi-instrumentalist loop master whose music spans a wide range of sounds and genres. With an education in music performance and a reputation for having a good time this laid back musician is no amateur to the music scene. Scott has performed hundreds of shows and numerous festival appearances, including 10,000 Lakes Festival, Wakarusa, Harvest Fest, Solstice Shakedown, Dogstock, Bela Luna, Camp Euforia, etc. Great stage presence and crowd interaction are a couple of things this guitarist is known for.

About Me

Born in Boston mass I am a DU educated pianist comfortable in any Jazz, Rock, or Classical setting but find my first love is the bluesy rollicking piano reminiscent of Jerry Lee Lewis, Dr. John, or Ray Charles. You might have seen me around town in my Salsa group, Jazz trio, Funk band, Gospel choir, or as accompaniment to any of the extremely talented singers I have worked with. I'm also a composer and songwriter with a sardonic songwriting style compared to Mose Allison and Dave Frishberg.

I attended the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music and graduated with a B.M. in Jazz and Commercial Piano. Not only have I studied intensely with local fixture Eric Gunnison, but also with internationally touring artist Gerri Allen and even with jazz legend Billy Taylor at a summer music institute in Amherst, Mass. I won the Clarke Terry award for outstanding musicianship and was a recipient of the Cherrington Global Scholarship, a grant that allowed me to spend a year performing...

Hi,
I'm a professional drummer, percussionist, and composer here in Denver offering a fresh new approach to drum instruction. I teach at two separate locations complete with dual drum sets and a complete sound system that allows for both my students and I to play simultaneously and at full live volume!

As a Graduate of the California Institute of the Arts, I've been lucky enough to have studied with some of the most diverse masters of drumset and percussion from several continents around the globe. I've been a player of the drums for over 23 years now, and I'm still practicing and perfecting the art, gaining new friends, students, and live stage experiences on the way.
