Originally from Porterville, California, Aaron graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA in '05. He was a recipient of the Charlie Parker Award for woodwind excellence as well as World Scholarship Tour recipient. Notable artists Aaron has performed with include Me'Shell N'degeocello, Michel Camilo, David Tronzo, Tiger Okoshi, George Garzone, Bryan Baker, Matthew Stevens, and Joe Lovano. He has studied with notable teachers and performers such as Joe Lovano, George Garzone, Hal Crook, Dave Santoro, Joanne Brakeen, Frank Tiberi, and performed at The Monterey Jazz Festival and Next Generation Festival in Monterey, CA (Bryan Baker Quartet), The North Sea Jazz Festival, Tri-C Jazz Festival, and venues all over New York and New England.

I've been teaching music for about as long as I've been playing it and I love teaching music the same way it was passed down to me! My explosive passion for music and life is contagious amongst my students and I love nothing more than sharing what I know.

As a professional saxophone player, I've toured the world playing as both a solo artist and part of a band in many genres including Jazz, Funk, Classical, Rock, and Jam Band. Some people I've played with have included Doug Wamble, the Codetalkers, Blueground Undergrass, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, and Donna the Buffalo. I've also been part of major label recordings including most recently Doug Wamble's new record for E1 Music. I love all styles of jazz but I'm definitely not a strict jazz-head and you're as likely to see me at a bluegrass or rock concert as you are a jazz club.

My name is Lauren, and I'm a piano and voice teacher based in Brooklyn. I love music more than anything (even animals, iced coffee, shopping, and being outside on nice days!)

My musical journey started early: I was 4 when I begged my parents for a piano after 'playing' one at a distant relative's home. I haven't looked back since, and my entire life has been centered around listening to, creating, loving, and teaching music. I love all kinds of music: I grew up with old rock and classical, but quickly found that I loved jazz, r&b, musical theatre soundtracks, everything!

I have a large place in my heart for music theory, ear training, and composition, so if you have trouble with these topics or would like to get better at them, I am a good resource for that. It is my goal as a music teacher to give my students a strong, practical foundation that will translate to whatever they want to do in their musical career, non-specific of genre or instrument....

Matt, 33 years old, has enjoyed working and teaching as a professional musician for at least 12 years. He began studying music and playing the saxophone at age 11. He currently lives and works in the New York City area after moving there from Philadelphia in early 2001 after graduating from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia in 1999 with a Bachelors in Music.

Throughout his musical career, Matt has performed and worked in a variety of capacities including as a composer and recording studio engineer. His main area of expertise is performing as a jazz saxophonist on alto, tenor, and soprano saxophones, and he regularly plays throughout New York City in restaurants and jazz clubs.

As a Music Teacher, my strengths are Patience, Experience and Encouragement. I am a Father of 4 and have had the joy in teaching them Guitar, Saxophone, Basic Theory and more. I have taught at Columbia College Chicago and at School of Rock (NYC/NJ). I currently teach children and young adults how to make simple musical instruments at The Friends of The Family Day Care Center in Mutuchen, NJ as well as producing Creative Sound Workshops at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and various Sound Art Festivals.
Playing by Ear has been a priceless, innate talent that I have developed throughout my life and I encourage all musicians, young and old, to do the same. I am experienced with all ages from 5 - adult and have been teaching lessons for ~8 years. I began as a volunteer in High School and built a larger private base of students while in college. I have played lead guitarist/singer/songwriter roles in several rock bands, as well as participated in award winning ensembles of all varieties (Jazz Bands, Wind Symphonies, Marching Band, Symphonic Band). Despite a background rich in performance, teaching is my foremost skill and profession. In addition to lessons, I've taught in the classroom setting. I was the first Popular Music and Jazz Major to graduate from the University of Rochester/Eastman School of Music. Currently, I'm completing my Master's Degree at Hunter College in Manhattan in Music Education while maintaining a flexible schedule as to accommodate new students.
