I currently play trombone with the West Point Concert Band and am also an active freelance trombonist and euphoniumist in the New York, tri-state area. On any given day I could be performing various genres of music including orchestral, jazz, chamber, rock, funk and hip-hop/R&B. My career has led me to perform with various ensembles in prestigious halls around the country such as Carnegie Hall, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA. Working as a musician has also given me the opportunity to travel the world as a performer. Most recently I went on tour throughout China with the Manhattan Symphonie this past December.
In addition to my career as a performer, I am an active educator. I teach private lessons as well as conducting master classes for groups in schools. In the past ...

There is nothing quite like the power of playing a brass instrument. I am a French Horn Player, but the process of helping students develop tone control, embouchure flexibility, pitch accuracy, breath support, technical facility, and a rich understanding of the standard repertoire cuts across each of the brass instruments. I have been teaching brass players privately and in the ensemble setting since 2000 and prize the opportunity to build my students' all-around musical confidence.

While teaching at KP High I had a few students who wished to double on tuba or euphonium like myself. Tuba is a very important instrument as it makes up the foundation of any wind ensemble, orchestra, or dixie land band.
Just like my trombone lessons, we will focus on developing areas such as sound quality, range, technique, reading, improvisation, and playing in different genres.
Whether music is your student's thing or they just want to expand their horizons and get involved, I believe it can be for anyone with the right mindset.
