Tenor Sergio recently received his Master's degree under the tutelage of César Ulloa at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he also holds his Bachelor’s degree. This past summer he was an apprentice artist with the Des Moines Metro Opera program. This summer he will be performing the role of Albert in Britten's Albert Herring with the Green Mountain Opera Festival and in the spring as Vaslav Nijinski in Danse Russe (Paul Moravek's One-Act Opera) with Kentucky Opera. He will return in 2014 to Kentucky Opera to sing Benvolio and cover Tybalt in their production of Gounod's Romeo et Juliette. Sergio was also recently seen as, Ferrando in Mozart's Così fan tutte (under the baton of Maestro Giuseppe Finzi) Count Almaviva, Charlie in Weill’s Mahagonny, Le Chevalier in Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites, Oronte in Handel’s Alcina with the Conservatory’s Opera Department, and also as Tamino in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte with the Bay Area Summer Opera Theatre...

With a full time performing career spanning two decades and experience as a Teaching Artist with San Francisco Opera and as a Voice Instructor at New England Conservatory, I come with a box of tools to help develop and highlight your strengths and to identify and correct vocal challenges. I also offer coaching in acting / character development as well as piano and general musicianship.

HI! I graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Music, Science and Technology and then worked as an Audio Engineer at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) at Stanford, where I recorded and produced a number of Grammy-nominated albums. I worked with amazing students and faculty, helping them utilize digital audio hardware and software for composition and research purposes.

I have been called a natural-born teacher and have taught music to everyone from elementary school students to college graduate students. I began giving guitar lessons in high school and helped put myself through college by giving guitar lessons while I was a student at Stanford.

I love teaching music and have recently taught Guitar, Digital Audio, Music Theory and Musical Acoustics at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, CA and Cogswell Polytechnical College in Sunnyvale, CA. I am currently teaching at the SAE Institute in San Francisco.

Hi! My name is LeAnna and I am a performing artist and teacher in the San Francisco bay area. I am 28 years old, live in Oakland, CA and graduated from San Francisco State University where I received my BA in Classical Music, my BA in Dance, with a focus in choreography, and a minor in Multi-Cultural Theatre. I work as an actor, singer, dancer, choreographer, Zumba instructor and teacher. I love the work that I do and teaching the performing arts is a great joy in my life.
So, just a little bit about me- My father was a saxophone jazz-playing musician who made music an important part of my life. Susan has been a children's and adult theater and music teacher in the Bay Area for the past 20 years. She has had extensive training in singing, acting, improvisation, music, dance, directing and writing.  She has a BA in Theater Arts and attended "The American Academy of Dramatic Arts" in New York. Susan has been a leading show-singer, dancer, actress in New York, Minnesota and San Francisco and the Peninsula. She is also a professional  voice-over commercial artist and has been in many commercials and documentaries nationally. She is a member of SAG and AFTRA talent unions and has won many  awards for her talents. She has produced and directed several children's stage productions throughout her prestigious career.

I have been teaching music for over 15 years. In regards to piano training, I began taking classical piano lessons at the age of five and continued for 11 years. I performed at Valley Fair Mall, Sherman and Clay stores, churches and concerts etc.
In regards to vocal background, I performed her first vocal solo at the age of five. At the age of 15, I founded the Notre Dame Gospel Choir. By the second year the choir grew to over 50 voices. Following graduation in 1999, I was hired back to continue directing the choir. By the time of my departure in 2004, the choir had grown to over 100 voices and was deemed as the largest club on campus. This choir performed at many events across Northern California which included: Christmas in the Park, churches, schools and opening for the world renowned group, Chanticleer. Hello! Music has consumed me from a very young age, and has been a defining force every since. I started singing in Kindergarten, and began playing the viola, cello, and saxaphone in middle school. During high school, while performing in every vocal and band solo and ensemble I could, it became very clear that I wanted to pursue music in college. I attended Hastings College, a private liberal arts college in the heart of Nebraska, where I received my Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance. During college, and since, I have had a private music studio teaching students piano, voice, and a little guitar from ages 5 to 87, so I have seen a great deal of talent over the years. I enjoy all ages and genders, but having been a male in music I am aware of the stigma young males have regarding music. Being a veteran and a musician has allowed me to incorporate characteristics from both in my approach to teaching, and in showing its very cool to be a male in music!
