I'm Vanessa Sawson and I am a professional actor living in Ferndale. I come from a family of actors and have earned a BA in Theatre Performance from Oakland University and an MFA in Acting from Wayne State University. I have also studied at the Moscow Art Theatre School and earned a Certificate in Actor Training. My education is mostly based on classical works. before going back to school for my masters, I worked at Marygrove College teaching students theatre, music and dance from ages 3-17. I love helping actors prepare for auditions as well as developing new or working on rehearsed monologues. I have many resources available in my home but also will be more than happy to travel to work one on one with students who are looking to strengthen their skills and follow their passion for the arts.
