I'm also the Minister of Music at New Covenant Church International where I sing, play piano, and assist in leading our NCCI choir. I'm well versed in music theory, aural skills, composition, and arranging. I look forward to working with you as we explore your musical desires!

I offer music lessons in a variety of areas. Lessons can either be 30 minutes or 60 minutes in length. I have been teaching privately since 2003. All lessons work towards reading and understanding music. All students will be required to obtain applicable materials for lessons. Here are the options for the lessons I offer.
Voice lessons are all rooted in a classical technique. For Opera and Classical Style, we will cover other languages such as Italian, German, and French from pronunciation to interpretation. For Musical Theater, we will work through both classical musical theater and contemporary musical theater. I do teach belting for both men and women.
Instrumental lessons can be anything from putting the instrument together correctly to learning how to fine tune your ear to your instrument. From scales, arpeggios, long tones, harmonics, to repertoire, we will work to make you a better player and performer.
All lessons will delve into theory in some fashion or another. If you are interested in just tutoring in theory, I would be more than happy to do so.
Dramatic coaching can be a variety of works from acting through songs, monologues, pantomime, story telling, improvisation, and more.
The bottom line. I want you to love what you are doing. Even if I am not the perfect fit for you, I will gladly work with you to find a fit somewhere. Sharing in the gift of music is an extremely special and valuable part of our lives.
"Steven is very professional and extremely helpful. He always has a smile on and is serious about helping you phrase the music. I would highly recommend him to anyone."
"It's been really exciting so far! Jordan has been so helpful, so knowledgeable. I could not have found a better instructor and I'm getting better and better every day."
"My daughter's wedding was weeks away and I had never been able to dance a step. With Jenny's help, I came further than ever before in such short time in any subject."
