Chun-Shu started her musical career at age 5. In junior high and high school, she played piano in concert orchestra. During this time, she also started violin and flute. In college she continued her studies in music by taking various piano and music theory classes. She also started to teach piano for a variety of age groups.

Mark is a versatile drummer. He is a graduate (B.M.) from the Berklee College of Music. Mark has performed live with many national acts such as: Howard Jones, Gordon Lightfoot, Mitch Ryder, Earl Klugh, Leo Sayer, KC & the sunshine band and Tony Orlando. He has recorded with David Foster, George Clinton, Brea Starr and What It IS and Justine Blazer.

He is also teaching a large roster of students, clinics and master classes at such institutions as the Power Chord Academy(Chicago), Avanti Music Academy (Toronto), Michigan's Interlochen Arts Camp, and DePaul University's school of music.

I am a senior Jazz Studies major at Wayne State University. I have previously earned both a Associate of Arts degree, and a Music Foundations Certificate from Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan. I have years of experience as a professional guitar instructor, working with both children and adults of all ages.

I teach all styles of guitar, as I have been in many different types of music situations: Soloist (Classical) Ensemble (Classical and Jazz) Lead and Rhythm (Various Rock and Roll bands) Songwriting and Recording. I am a people person that learned the guitar from many different sources. Most of my learning came from watching others and communicating with others. I like to learn about the people I am teaching so that I can better understand their needs as a musician. My education came as a practical necessity in order to get better as a teacher and performer, as well as make a living doing it. But, by no means do I preach the need to be "educated" to be a working, practical musician. This can scare people off. Hello eager students! My name is Nick and I have been recording and performing in the Toledo area for 12 years. In that time I have put out five studio records including: Strydir Lee, Careless and Free, Acoustics Volume 1, Electric Money Burns, and Phony Cosmic Clues. I have played on a number of local stages here in Toledo and gained a large following on stages in Chicago, Cincinnati and Detroit. I was even lucky enough to perform live on the Mitch Albom radio show! Over the years students and friends have come to me to learn how to play guitar or bass and how to write their own music. So not only will I give you professional lessons but I'll also allow you to record in my studio with me so you can create your own masterpiece! What I can teach is an understanding of music that allows you to create your own and show it to the world.

Having grown up with music (my Dad was a drummer in the Navy and in several local dance bands), it’s difficult to believe I have been able to make a living doing something I have enjoyed all my life. Starting, obviously on the drums, I was involved at an early age in a marching drum and baton corp that played in numerous parades throughout the summer months. I played tenor drum and ended up playing glockenspiel, learning the two songs “Five Foot Two” and “Ain’t She Sweet.” Shortly after that I began learning to play the organ. I started out at a local music store learning things like “Alley Cat” and “Whispering,” and after a few years moving on to lessons from a local Church Organist and my career blossomed from there.

I have taught vocal and instrumental music in both Catholic and Public schools, and in after-school programs, for 20 years, and have been giving private lessons for 9 years. I performed for the recital class each semester as well as for juries, and was also a member of Opera Workshop, where I performed opera pieces as a soloist as well as in ensemble.

I have been singing and playing piano all of my life. I took my first music lesson I was just three years old I never looked back! After high school I earned my Bachelor of Music Performance and my Master of Music. I attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. It was in Louisiana where I began my teaching career, just over ten years ago.

After returning to Michigan, I began teaching K-12 music in both public and private school settings. I currently maintain a private studio in addition to teaching voice part-time at Oakland Community College and I teach piano through a community outreach program.

Anne received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a Vocal Emphasis from Oakland University in Rochester, MI in 2008. She has taught privately since 2006.

Anne uses her experience with performing solos and singing in a variety of ensembles and well as her knowledge of vocal technique, music theory, music history, ear training and piano to best aid her students in improving their voices or beginning their piano studies. She also uses her experience as a voice coach and her understanding of learning theories, specifically Constructivism, to best teach each individual.
