Hello, and thanks for reading my profile! I've had music in my life ever since the age of 3 when my parents, both pianists and organists, first sat me down at the piano. I joined the church choir at age 8 and began to play piano and organ at church a few years after that. Throughout middle and high school I studied piano with a Westminster Choir College instructor in New Jersey. I then went on to graduate from Millersville University with a B.A. in Spanish and French. After college I taught K-12 Spanish before staying home with our own children. And now for the past ten years I've worked as a church organist and choir director.

I really do enjoy working with children and teaching them how fun music can be! Every student has a unique way of learning, and I always strive to discover it so that all students get the most out of their lessons with me.

I have 16 years musical experience, performing, and writing. My teaching methods are very demonstrative, I am very disciplined in my art and can help my students become amazing guitarists! I love working with children, and young adults. I strive to broaden my student's musical horizons.

I was in the Navy Band,and played for the President, Change of Command ceremonies and for American Embassy functions in foreign countries. As a percussionist, I have been involved in training students of varying levels including school bands, military bands, college and small combination bands. I was the former instructor of Jimmy De Grasso, who is now performing professionally with popular heavy metal bands. In addition to teaching, I play in local bands. I have played nearly every style of music including; jazz, rock, gospel, country, funk, polka. swing, latin's,and big band.

Samantha started taking piano lessons at age 3 from her mother, who was also a music teacher. She played piano continuously through school, and also learned to play clarinet, guitar, flute, trumpet and sax, often playing different instruments in her school's band. She also learned the violin and cello all before graduating high school and starting college. She started teaching younger students while she was still in High school.

She attended Pensacola Christian College in Florida and majored in Piano Performance under the watchful eye of Mr. Daniel Nagy from Brazil. She transferred to Clearwater Christian College, also in FL, her Junior year to study with Dr. Craig Ralston. There she graduated with a BS in Music.

Here's a little bit about me: I attended Syracuse University where I received a bachelor's degree in vocal performance. I then traveled down south to get my Master's from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. I served as Administrative Director for the Gregg Smith Singers' Adirondack Festival of American Music in Lake Placid, NY and performed with the all-female a cappella ensemble, The Mandarins, for whom I was director and vocal percussionist, as well as a Varsity Vocals award-winning soloist and arranger. I have been teaching for a few years now. I started to teach professionally after graduating Hollywood's Guitar Insitute of Technology program with an Associates in Music Performance. I specialize in just about every style and am known for my shred style guitar playing.

I am 35 years old, and have been a musician for over 25 years. I began, like many, playing in my middle school band. I attended a Performing Arts School throughout my high school years, where I studied Classical and Jazz Guitar, Music Theory, Ear Training, and many other facets of music. I also studied privately with various guitar instructors, most notable Kyle Hildenbrand, a Berklee grad and film scorer for Universal Studios. In college I also took education and psychology classes which have proven very helpful in my approach to teaching.

Over my life I have had a love for music. I've studied, piano, flute, and dance, but singing and performing keeps me coming back!
I had the privilege of studying with artist in residence Augusto Paglialunga at West Virginia University where I received my degree in Vocal Performance. Mr. Paglialunga taught me the importance of starting with a healthy voice no matter what style I planned on performing. From singing opera or jazz in college to singing pop music while touring the country, I first start with a healthy voice and every style falls into place.

Gregg has been involved in music for almost his entire life. He began with the saxophone in middle school, where he took lessons and played in the school band, orchestra, and jazz band. He was interested in many other instruments at the time; piano and clarinet lessons shortly followed, but he did not develop his skills on guitar until much later. In seventh and eighth grade, Gregg was accepted into the Region II Intermediate Band, an intercollegiate ensemble for middle school students, where he performed tenor saxophone both years.

In high school, Gregg participated in the freshman Concert Band (tenor sax), Symphonic Band (tenor sax sophomore year, bassoon senior year), Wind Ensemble (tenor sax junior and senior years), and the Marching Band (tenor sax freshman and junior years, baritone sax sophomore year).
