About Me

I have been working with students of all ages for the past six years as a private and group lesson instructor, bandleader and clinician. At a summer camp in New York I would regularly have kids from other sections sitting in on my classes because of the creative and exciting learning environment that I create.

As a graduate of Berklee College of Music I have experienced every genre and teaching method. As a result I can shape my curriculum to the student's personal interests and preferred learning style. During lessons I take a solid foundation of music theory and technical practice and place it in context to modern musical examples, allowing students to understand the material on their own terms. I am patient, animated and I love what I do!

About Me

With 12 years of musical experience (3 years of teaching experience), I have released an album of original compositions (and am currently preparing a comedy album for release in the winter of this year), have performed on the bass guitar in front of thousands of people on stages spanning from California to Boston playing styles spanning from lounge jazz to progressive video game music metal, and have graduated Berklee College of Music as a scholarship student with high honors (focus in performance and education), but I'm just getting started...

About Me

I've been playing the guitar for twenty-six years now, and I've been working as a guitar teacher for the last twenty years. I've been making a living as a guitar teacher in the Boston area for fourteen years now, and I teach in two locations - Brighton and Dedham. Prior to that I also taught at Guitar Attention Center in Springfield, Ohio while I was in college, where I graduated with honors at Wright State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications.
I've also played in a variety of original and cover bands, and have written a number of songs of my own. I'm working on recording these as instrumentals in my home studio.
I also play in a rock cover band called Element 78. We play out every weekend, and even on some Sundays. The singer and I have also started doing some acoustic shows on Sundays and Thursdays as well.

About Me

I started my musical journey as a kid in the elementary school band, in the low brass section. I picked up the guitar and the bass shortly thereafter. Since then, I've played guitar and bass professionally in a number of different styles, namely rock, jazz, blues, classical, and country. I've also earned a Bachelor's degree in music. I bring all that I have learned from these experiences, and my passion for music, to my teaching. My goal is to help you discover your voice on your instrument and for you to begin or continue to enjoy the process of learning music. I can help you reach your own goals and then exceed them. There is always more to learn and always room for improvement. I know this because I am a lifelong student of music myself.

About Me

I am one of those individuals for whom teaching is just something that I have to do. I started giving music lessons sometime in the 80’s and have loved working with all levels of skill and experience. My students say that I am patient, adaptive and encouraging, committed to making music fun.

I have a Masters of Music from New England Conservatory in Jazz Piano and am comfortable and fluent in a number of musical styles, including pop, rock, gospel, traditional hymnody, jazz, and R&B. In addition to private lessons and performing, I do music transcription, workshops, and all forms of vocal and instrumental arranging. Having served as a church musician for more than 30 years, I currently co-lead the worship team at Life Church in Boston with my wife. I recently signed on as the keyboard player for Tall Enough, a Boston-based alternative rock band. About Me

Though he is only 24, Bob J has been playing drums professionally for close to a decade. He has a B.M. from the New England Conservatory and a M.M. from McGill University in jazz performance. Valued for his versatility and strong sense of groove, he is quickly becoming one of the most in-demand sideman in the greater Boston area. His growing reputation in the Northeast has lead to performances with jazz legends such as Lee Kontiz and Dave Holland, as well as an international tour with a big band featuring George Garzone and Lenny Pickett. He also has a strong connection with the piano and writes music for various musical projects. He is currently a member of the house band at the Art Bar in Cambridge and leads his own group in NYC, Boston, and Montreal.
