Throughout my elementary through high school experience, I never missed a year without being in choir. Music had always been a passion for me, especially genres such as classical, jazz, world, blues, film score, and the culmination of those genres, progressive rock. However, after having joined band my senior year, my eyes were opened to a future that I had never before considered, but since have been making every effort to achieve. I wanted to be a band director. The steps to embarking on this path have already been taken, as I’m enrolled in the classes at University that will allow me to become a music educator, such as Music Theory, Musicianship, Campus Band, Class Piano, and private guitar lessons, which have been more than intriguing and inspirational, so much that I have chosen guitar as my major instrument. I have been really enjoying the classical style of guitar, and after having been authorized to do so by my guitar professor, am saving up for a $149 classical guitar, as that is what is in my budget right now. I am planning on providing private lessons for anyone who wants to learn guitar in the near future so I can get much needed education experience. If I won this giveaway, I would be able to progress even further in my studies of guitar and music, and be even better equipped for my future as a band director and private educator.
