Throughout my eighteen years, I’ve encountered many experiences that have changed me. Some for the better, others not. I’m unsure why they happened to me, however I know this: because of the events, I am me. One thing I’d love to change is the way people think. If I could do what I love and earn a living, I would teach. However, I’d create my own class: Bullying Awareness. Throughout grade school, I’ve been in all three positions: the bully, the bystander, and the one being bullied. I would teach my students the effect of each position and each perspective. My class would teach the children of tomorrow to not fear the opinion of their peers and to aid people when necessary. No longer will kids be silent about this lightly taken topic. Bullying is a prominent subject that no officials seem to take seriously. It’s up to the people that truly want to make a change to do something. In order to achieve this goal I’d make a club at a Boys and Girls center or an After School activity. If I could actually make it an actual class, It would last a semester and I know for a fact that it would change at least one child’s life. If I could get at least one child to tell me “I appreciate your class, it has changed me.” or something along the lines, I will have achieved my goal. My passion is to shape the young adults of tomorrow.
