If I could make a living doing what I love, I would plan weddings. I love working with people, being organized, attending events, and bridal fashion. Planning weddings is the best combination of every thing that I am passionate about. I think that people look back on their wedding day as one of the best days of their life and I want to help make that happen. I think that it is important to give people a beautiful and memorable wedding day, to start their new life together in the best way possible. When people fall in love and create a happy marriage, it leads to a happy family, and creates a happier future. A world full of beautiful weddings is a lovely world, indeed.
I have done my research to learn how to become a wedding planner. I currently an interning at Kleinfeld Bridal in Manhattan, and will learn the in-and-outs of Bridal Fashion. After that internship ends in December, I plan to get another internship next semester shadowing an already established wedding planner until May 2015. After graduation, I will be able to start working for either a bridal company or a wedding planning company in New York City and gain some experience to start my own career. Once I’ve learned all there is to know, I will start plan weddings on my own, and hopefully start my own wedding planning business someday. By setting up a time line and creating goals for myself, I’ve been motivated to accomplish those goals and am on track thus far. I feel very proud of the internship I have currently, and feel very optimistic about the future!
