Food is my passion. I have loved food, and everything about it, since I was young. This love naturally led me to the pursuit of a career in the food and hospitality industry. On my path to meet this goal I have already received an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts, and this year I am beginning to work towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, focusing my attention on the food and restaurant industry. I am also very intrigued by nutrition and hope to minor in nutrition or dietetics.
My ultimate career would consist of working in the restaurant industry, while using my position to assist and educate the less fortunate people in my community, especially those who have poor diets. One day, I hope to open my own restaurant or bakery. After meeting that goal I plan on using my business as a means to reach the community through food drives and educational health events that would teach the underprivileged about the importance of a healthy diet. I especially have a heart for the people of Los Angeles, whom I have helped on multiple mission trips since Junior High School. While the little things that I do may not succeed in changing the whole world, they might begin to make a difference in the communities nearby—and it is these little changes that may create a much bigger impact in the long run!
