I’ve always had a chance to do what I love the most, which is traveling. My family always thought it was really important for me and my brothers to see the world and explore different cultures. Voyaging made my view of life different and made me not only realize how much is out in the world that I don’t know about, but how much is in me that I want to realize. One of those realizations came to me quite early: I love writing and I love letting people know about all the good and bad things happening around us that we don’t even notice. I had the opportunity to spend my senior year as an exchange student in Iowa, and then apply to college. That was when I decided that I wanted to be a traveling journalist. A reporter that has the opportunity to share with the rest of the world what the daily routines of people living in countries different from mine looks like. Not everybody gets a chance to travel and explore, but that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t become aware of the fact that there’s a world outside their window that they don’t know much about. I learnt that seeing the world with someone else’s eyes, changes the way I conceive life and induces me to make a change, and if I could earn a living doing what I love the most, that would be giving the humanity an opportunity to do the same.
