My favorite thing to do is read. I love reading new things and learning new information. My lifelong goal is to be a surgeon and maybe reading can help more people with diseases and disabilities. What if, in an old book, not much read by others, there is a cure for cancer or any other disease? Yet, no one took the time to read the book and know that maybe some old research could help us now in the present. People always say that we learn from our past.
There could be an old book somewhere collecting dust that holds the key to fighting diseases and helping many people. By reading we could learn what people knew about certain diseases. Maybe we aren’t looking close enough at the details left in research journals or documents about health problems that could’ve easily been solved. I would love to spend the time reading through old journals or new ones to see between the lines and help solve some of the diseases that have baffled many researchers and doctors. I want to be able to help many people as possible and if it means reading hundreds of books, then I would gladly do it. Reading is my favorite hobby and I’m sure there are others who like to read and with many people helping, there is nothing we wouldn’t be able to accomplish.
