If I could earn a living doing what I love most, it would be what I am currently going to school for, Nursing! As a child, I was in and out of Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN and the only consistent thing about my time there were the nurses. The nurses always saw to it that I was well taken care of and comfortable. I aspire to go into Nursing to truly change the world, as many individuals as possible with the caring heart I was blessed with.
I plan to finish my associate’s degree of nursing in December 2016, and then continue my education immediately in a Bachelors program. While in the bachelors program, I intend to work as an RN to gain experience to go along with my education. Once my bachelors degree is complete I hope to work on the Pediatric floor here in Jackson, TN at Jackson Madison County General Hospital and show the children the love and positivity I experienced as a young child who was hospitalized. I believe with all of my heart that Nursing is a field you must have the passion and heart for and I do! I want to show children and all of future patients that they more than matter when they are in my care and this scholarship would more than help my dream become a reality and make the world a better place.
