I have many passions, but the one I feel most deep about is paintballing. It can be a physically demanding sport that requires players to run, jump, dive, and more. The tribulations that paintball faces include that it doesn’t receive nearly as much funding as other sports while at the same time being more expensive than most, this makes playing paintball on a competitive level financially exhausting. Also many people don’t consider it a real sport because they don’t realize many of the key aspects that make it like any other mainstream sport, which include teamwork, leadership, athleticism and good spirited competition.
I would love to help make paintballing a mainstream sport so more people can enjoy it. This would require more paintball fields, sponsorships and players. Unfortunately you need more players to make having a paintball field more financially attractive. You also need better fields to attract more players and out of state players to reach the level of competition that attracts sponsorship. This makes playing the sport a more viable option to many more.
My goal would be to help coach individuals locally to raise the level of competition. This would encourage both sponsors to look here and attract out of state players. The increased attention from sponsors and additional players would make the investment of a paintball field more attractive. Prior to this point I would invest in a field myself, providing a living for myself while fostering the growth of a sport that promotes healthy values.
