Being a teacher is everything I wanted to be. Of course I had my phase of convincing my parents that I was a princess or that I’d be a ballerina one day, but I always knew being a teacher was for me. Teaching is one of the hardest, underpaying jobs out there and teachers don’t get enough credit for the things they do. Almost everyone goes to school so almost everyone has had a teacher. They are a necessity to the world because they give back. They give back not in gifts or money but in knowledge. They give the power of knowledge to students that use that to become anything they want to be whether it’s becoming a lawyer or doctor or engineer or musician. If I was to become a teacher I’d change the world not by big leaps but small increments through my students. I’d give them the power, tools, encouragement, and push they needed to become successful in life and ultimately change the world themselves. I want to be able to give students the things they need in order to not only be successful in life but to also accomplish anything and everything they’ve set their mind to. The power of knowledge is colossal and it’ll change the world in itself.
