When I look back on my life after I am old and retired, I want to be able to say, “I enjoyed doing that, and I made a difference.” I have been an avid math and science fan since I realized history and English involved more reading than I wanted to do a day. Chemistry seemed like the perfect fit after two courses in high school. I live relatively close to Chattanooga, Tennessee, and it is a growing city with lots of industry and tourist attractions. Chattanooga used to be one of the top dirtiest cities in America, but it has since cleaned up its act. I want to work with OSHA or a company similar to it in my local area of Chattanooga. My goal is to continue Chattanooga’s steps towards becoming one of the cleanest cities in America. I want to be a part of what brings this city back to its full potential. I hope to reach out to local businesses and give them exciting incentives to keeping a clean and safe environment. I want to travel to other cities and share with them what Chattanooga is doing to be so successful. I know that nothing will ever be perfect, but with my help and the help of other environment aware citizens, we can make a difference. We can put Chattanooga on the top and keep it there. I can make a difference doing what I enjoy, and that is something I will strive to achieve.
