If I could earn a living doing what I love most I would raise beef cattle. I have grown up on a livestock farm and absolutely love it. I believe that growing up and working on a farm has taught me hard work, discipline, and compassion for animals. Raising beef cattle would change the world in more than one way. First, I would have the opportunity to feed the world. Beef is eaten around the world and is one of the United States’ major exports. I would be able to feed people not only from the United States but around the globe. Also, so many people around the world are starving, if I were able to produce beef cattle, I could have the opportunity to feed the globe’s starving population. Second, by being a beef producer I would be able to educate people about the misinformation that is spread about livestock production. In today’s society, there are many misconceptions about how beef cattle are produced and treated. I think that if people received the correct information, they would be more educated and less unaware. I believe that knowledge is everything. In order to make my dream a reality I plan on working hard in my college career and applying myself in every situation possible. I am in my second year and I am already involved in agriculture clubs and events. In conclusion, doing what I love and raising beef cattle could change the world by feeding and educating the earth.
