I would make a living by composing, recording, and performing music in almost any genre I choose (orchestral, jazz, pop, hip-hop, rock, metal, rap, etc.). In this case, metal will be my main focus.

The most common assumption about metal musicians is that they all write about negativity, but that’s not the case for others. There are those who write about positivity in life. I would start a metal band with positive and uplifting music, not negative and destructive.

My music would be aimed mainly for the youth and young adults in the world seeking direction in life, dealing with life’s difficulties, and needing inspiration to carry on daily. It would also be purposed for speaking up for people when they can’t because every voice needs to be heard.

How would I get there? I would further my learning at a community college, then transfer to a university to earn a Bachelors Degree in Music Composition and Performance. During my college education, I would be involved in my metal band’s development. I would also be working on the advancement of my vocal, compositional, and instrumental skills (drums, piano, guitar [electric and acoustic], electric bass).

After receiving my Associates and Bachelor’s Degrees, I would seek opportunity with my band to perform locally and eventually progress to nationwide touring, and possibly worldwide. In between touring times, we would be making records of our music. Every album released would be deemed essentially important to reach out in a positive way to this world.
