If I could earn a living doing what I love most, it would be serving as a humane investigator. Animal police officers can change the world by making the world a benign, saner place to live. The role of a humane investigator is to take individuals into custody for the misconduct of animal cruelty and to secure animals from properties that are not safe because the animals are being kept in poor and inhumane living conditions. To change the world, I would have to start on a small scale. I aim to construct an animal cruelty officer branch in the southeast and then work my way up and down the coast. I will collaborate with police forces to open up to the idea of being able to reach their status quota by branching out in a different direction of authority. My strategy to make that dream a reality is: first, to intern at a local humane association and local police academy. Next, I will aim to gain an Associate’s Degree in criminal justice. Then, I will apply for a job as a K-9 unit police officer. After a few years of service I will begin my business separately from the force, then partner with them. Finally, I will create a media blast to every police force in my state. The idea is to get a particular state to take action so others will notice. My core goal is to get the world to treat animals in a healthy, humane manner.
