If I could do what I love to do, it would be photography. I love photography because you capture the natural beauty in people, animals, or places. I believe the photography I would do could open the eyes of many people to see things as they are, not as the media or TV would want them to see. I think that someone needs to be brave enough to step out of the box and change the way people look at things in life. I feel that I am the person to start that trend.
A family helping a child fight cancer. Most would assume that it is all sad times and that the child would not be able to look normal. My photography would be done in a setting comfortable for the family so as to catch their natural activities, their personalities, their beauty, the love of the family. At the same time, those photographs would be memories for that family to have forever.
It has been said “A picture is worth a thousand words”, well I want them to be worth a billion words, to bring awareness to real life, real issues. If one of my pictures could change the way a teen sees themselves by seeing someone else their age as a natural person, or if a child with cancer could see another child with cancer smiling, playing and give them hope to fight, then my photography would be able to change the world….one person at a time.
