I’ve always loved making people laugh. Be it my friends, my family, or strangers, I always find a way to make light of a situation and get a few smiles from it. Making people laugh is something that can make me feel fulfilled, and I would love to have a career as a comic someday.
Comedy is something that has changed the world since its innovation. Being able to laugh at something can make a bad situation good. It can bring happiness from sadness and turn tears into laughter. While it wouldn’t have as large an impact as something like being the President or Royalty, it would certainly impact people on a larger scale than you might expect. The more popular you are as a comic, the greater your reach to people, and the greater your chance of changing the world – however small the scale might be – is.
Generally the first step to becoming a success as any sort of performer is making yourself known. Comedians have it a little easier than others because someone is a fair bit more likely to share information about a comedian than a musician. This is because a comedians are more ubiquitous than other performers – everyone loves to laugh, so comedy has more reach naturally. Eventually my popularity would grow to the point where I’d be able to perform in larger locations, further expanding my comedy’s reach, and making more people laugh as I go.
