As the oldest out of four younger siblings, I have always loved working and helping children. Pediatricians are people I consistently looked up to because they were always around kids and making them feel safe and healthy. I thought they had the best job as a child, and I knew I could see myself doing that for the rest of my life.
I am attending St. John’s University (SJU) and majoring in Chemistry to become a pediatrician. In four years I will be graduating from SJU with my bachelor’s degree. I would have completed at least two to three internships, and many more volunteer and leaderships programs. From there I will go to medical school to gain more knowledge about my career. After I have completed all my requirements for my job, I plan on working at a hospital for children.
Children are the future. Without doctors, how would they make it in the world to help better the future? Pediatricians make future generations are healthy enough to fulfill their dreams, but they are not just doctors; they are mentors, counselors and so much more.
