My goal in life is to be a neuropsychiatrist. It is a type of psychiatrist whose main focus is how the structure and chemical make up of the brain effects how we go about daily life. I chose this once I realized some deafness is caused by an inability to process sound in the brain. It made me realized that hearing people aren’t the only ones with neurological afflictions and that someone should be there to help everyone. I would earn my money researching the brain and trying to find the cause of unknown problems and better the world. The more we know about the brain the more we know about ourselves and are able to help one another. I will also fight to remove the bad connotations that come with psychiatric help. If a person’s mind is hurting there should be no problem in seeking help just as they would seek help for a sore throat. I have a lot of reasons to why I want to do what I do but long story short everyone deserves a fighting chance and figuring out what’s wrong is the first step.
