If I could earn a living doing what I love most that would also change the world, I would spread awareness and knowledge of the debilitating disease known as Juvenile Diabetes by creating a book for families to make it easier to learn all there needs to know about raising a child with the disease. Having diabetes is one of the most depressing diseases you can be diagnosed with. It made me feel terrible about myself and I really questioned whether or not it was worth dealing with. After years of having the disease, I realize now that many kids have it worse off then me and some families don’t know how to handle having a child with diabetes. After realizing this, I now know that I want to create this book to help families across in raising and keeping their child healthy. By doing this I need to make sure that I include details of my experiences through childhood, technology advances that are beneficial to diabetic children, as well as professional data. To put this book together in the future, I need to start making memos in a journal, researching, and asking families what they feel is the most confusing about diabetes. If I do these tasks and put together this book, I feel as though families will be able to better understand what it takes to raise a child with Juvenile Diabetes.
