There are many dreams that come true in this world, as for myself my dream is to do what I love and make it a part of my lifestyle. If I could earn a living doing what I love the most I would teach poetry/spoken word workshops to youth. I would teach these sessions in public libraries and high schools as a guest speaker. Like a wise man once said “A dream without a plan is a wish” my plan to make dream happen is pursue a degree in English and minor in Theatre. Once I’ve earned my degree I would take the initiative to go back to my hometown and teach these workshops at my old high school the spread out from there to different libraries. My passion is different from others. I believe the power of words change people’s life’s one way or another. Most especially in youth today there are so many ways to express emotions but there isn’t anyone to show them the way. I know I would not be where I am today if I didn’t have someone to guide me and to show me that there are other ways of expression through words and performance. I want to help be the change that I want to see in youth and I would do that with or without a paycheck every day.
