My dream is to become a Food Service Manager in the hospitality field. I love the idea of helping others voluntarily and unconditionally. After obtaining an A.S. degree, my goals are to transfer to UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management to achieve a B.S. degree and furthermore to feed myself with knowledge from various professors, who had been in this particular career field. Plato asserts, “The direction in which education starts a man, will determine his future life (qtd. in Ehrlich and DeBruhl 185). I certainly confirm Plato’s quote and the significance of setting goals. Further school will direct me and reveal my true identity of becoming the “[wo]man” to make a change in this world. With “direction” there comes purpose and motivation that will help me fullfill my “future” path and influence other “m[e]n”. All it will take is teaching and showing them to find their “determin[ation]”, so they will successfully “start[…] [their] future life” and hopefully “education” will lead them to enduring a “life” with a “direction”. “[I have] made leadership about changing the world [because] there are only six billion understandings of it. And if [I] change one person’s understanding of […] how powerful an agent of change [people] can be in this world, [I have] changed the whole thing” (Dudley). I will help the government to reduce the unemployment rate by creating a referral program with various easy jobs in different restaurants that will offer homeless and less fortunate people the chance to be self-sufficient.
