I’m truly passionate about acknowledging real superstars and role models that actually enrich peoples’ lives. If I could make a good living doing just that I would work tirelessly doing so. A few examples of these real people are teachers, guidance counselors, recreational coaches, non – profit and charity employees and child advocates. These people deserve increased income, recognition and public influence. Providing individuals who truly put others before themselves with more would make the world better in so many ways.
There’s an understanding that having a career working hands on helping people, you yourself will have to go without some of life’s comforts. Some teachers maintain multiple jobs in order to survive, but these are the very people we entrust our children with daily. I see a problem with that. It is no wonder why there are so few young people are seeking to work in career fields that support their fellow man.
Sadly our future generations want to model themselves after so called reality television stars and celebrities. Although there are some celebrities who are very charitable and really use their status to help others, many more of them don’t. They become famous for behaving irresponsibly, treating others terribly and being extremely self-centered and shallow. All while being paid outrageous amounts of money and having an undeserving following.
Our values have become tainted and we as a society need to reestablish our priorities. Not only for ourselves but for each other, to have a better world for us all.
