If I were given the opportunity to spend the rest of my life doing something I loved, I would choose to travel. My whole life I have wanted to see the world. If I was given the opportunity to travel, I would put it to good use. Water scarcity is a huge problem in developing countries. According to the waterproject.org over 1 billion people do not have access to clean, purified drinking water. Not having access to water causes many different problems. While illness from water borne disease is most people’s first thought when they think of this problem, there are many other negative effects of water scarcity. When children are forced to go out searching and gathering clean water, they spend less time in school, this leads to children who are poorly educated. Having a poorly educated society leads to a cycle of poverty that cannot be broken. If given the opportunity to do something I loved. I would choose helping children. I would work to supply the tools needed to provide an abundance of clean drinking water for these poor children. Clean water is the start of change. It leads to education, health, end of hunger and a break of the cycle of poverty. These children need someone to step in and make a change. Water is the first step towards change. If I could just impact one child’s life by providing him the kick start for a better life, that would be enough for me.
