“I wish I was a kid again.” Is probably the thing I hate hearing the most when speaking to an adult. This tells me that the individual that I’m speaking to (him/her), hates the responsibilities of their everyday lives. I believe this to be so because we, as a covey of people, let fear drive us instead of creativity. That’s why if I could get paid to become a fashion designer, I would.
Through this opportunity I could change the world by showing people that it’s okay to be yourself. Achieving this through my designs, which would flair with my individuality in a world of flat standards. I would take on a world full of no’s so that I may unconsciously give others permission to do the same with their dreams.
I would achieve this by attending a highly regarded school in design to show me how best to use my talents, and before I graduate I would make sure to intern at some of the top positions out there such as Calvin Klein, Polo, Brooks Brother, or Pink (Thomas Pink). To be able to make a better adjustment between learning, and doing. Also possibly open up a job position. That is why I want to become a fashion designer, so not only I can achieve my dream, but also show people that it’s okay to be true to yourself as an individual, and hopefully help them achieve their real dreams as well.
