My passion and dream is to work with young girls to teach them self-worth, perseverance and self-respect. I am a mother to two girls ages 20 and 11 and I have worked very hard to instill life lessons into them and I do so on a daily basis.
If I could get paid to love what I do it would be mentoring young women in urban area. I also have a company that I started and plan to turn into a non-profit after I complete college to offer mentoring to young girls between the ages of 12-18; who otherwise may not get positive guidance at home or in school. My focus is to provide educational trainings, mentoring sessions, live examples of life lessons, field trips and also the importance of never following the crowd.
If I could get paid to do this and change the world, it would be beneficial to me and also the students I mentor. My motto is “Educate, Encourage, Inspire” and the whole idea is to arm young women with the tools they need to succeed in life. The immediate goals I have are as follows:
- Complete my Bachelors Degree
- Begin creating lesson plans and training outlines
- Define areas that I want to target (populations, cities, etc)
- Begin non-profit start-up process
- Remain positive and focused.
