In essence, I would love to give of myself to enrich the lives of others in order to earn a living. More specifically, I will produce hand-crafted goods for consumers in my geographical area. Ideally, these goods will be crafted from local ingredients, such as strawberry jam made from berries purchased at a nearby farmer’s market. Because I plan to buy and sell local, I will be able to avoid using numerous chemicals and additives used to stabilize most goods. By taking this approach, I hope to help people and families realize goals of returning to simpler food products. It has been found that all the chemicals we artificially add to food can have a negative effect upon overall health. By providing products that do not need to contain such chemicals, I will be promoting better health in my local community. With better health come happier lives, lower medical bills, and increased worker productivity; making my community stronger.

To make my dream a reality, I will need to further educate myself in the ways of business and food safety. Additionally, I will need to develop a product list that can be supported locally. Finally, I must prepare to enter into business in order to realize my dream career.
